James Burke | Photographer | Husband | Media Professional | Dog Owner | Dad | Not necessarily in that order.
Photographer of weddings and portraits, with the odd commercial work thrown in. I shoot editorial work for the Witness magazine (monthly publication, yet to be linkable), predominantly photos of contributors to accompany their articles. I run my own business for all other work, have a studio downstairs, and love shooting.
Husband to the lovely Beth, whom I met while shooting an event in June 2006. We got introduced by mutual friends, hit it off, and the rest they say is history. Engaged April 2007, married October 2007, we now spend our time trying to syncronise our work schedules to arrive home sometime around the same time. She is the most wonderful person I have met, the biggest complimentary personality to mine, a fanatical shopper and oh-so-fun when demanding pancakes at 4:13am. She’s the reason I’m where I am currently in my life – and that’s not just sap: the job I currently work at is due purely to making one of her close friends mine – and I could not imagine a life without her crazy personality by my side.
Media Professional five days a week, doing anything from most forms of media production, to proof-reading Witness editions prior to print deadlines. Head up all of their video production, print media production, website content management, as well as dealing with organisations sending us multiple copies of the same publication – one addressed to each of the three previous editors.
Dog Owner of one crazy little puppy, Zahli. Maltese x Shihtzu something, small, incredibly cheeky, and for some reason loves to just move things around the house. I wake up most mornings to find shoes, clothes, toys, anything not chewed – but randomly put in different locations.
Dad of the wonderful little Elijah. Our first child, our little spunky man. He’s about as great as they come.
